Like many cities in America, Colorado Springs welcomes asylum seekers, internally displacedpersons, and full-blown refugees fleeing their home countries. Like the mother and child in this photograph, refugees live with an uncertain future in a land that can be intimidating to them.
First Pres has partnered with Lutheran Family Services to help vulnerable individuals and families like these rebuild their lives and equip them to achieve self-sufficiency within theirfirst year in the United States.
Fostering integration into their new communities in Colorado Springs is a critical step in this process.
