One of the most magical places I’ve been in my career is the western highlands of Guatemala. It’s all you might think it is–winding roads that take you past “chicken buses” struggling to get up steep hills, weathered Guatemalans who are doing their best to earn a living off the land, and a simply stunning topography. It truly is one of the world’s toughest places.
Enter Mercy Corps, working to save and improve lives in places like the western Guatemala highlands. And doing a great job of it. Here’s a look into their work there…
