Recently I spent a few weeks in Liberia shooting various NGO (photos here are from Medical Teams International) work responding to the Ebola virus. The first few days there were pretty intense, but soon I was used to the pervasive hand washing, temperature checks and social “distancing” practiced everywhere in an attempt to stop the spread of the deadly disease. While I was there Time Magazine announced that its 2014 Person of the Year was the Ebola Fighters…and since I was there fighting Ebola, I felt proud to be in good company and recognized as part of it. My hat is off to all the Ebola fighters who are still there and in West Africa helping save and improve lives.
