Hillary and Logan

This past October I had the pleasure of filming Hillary and Logan’s destination wedding at the Elmore’s Eight Torches Ranch in Edwards, Colorado. It was a wonderful time…the fall aspens were in full color in the Vail Valley, making it the ideal time for a wedding. The bride and groom were awesome, as were the families and friends of these two. The ceremony was fantastic, as was the ranch. It was also a pleasure to work alongside James Christianson, a real pro and fellow Nikon shooter and watch the incomparable Carolyn Moorman in action. And I LOVED that line dancing! Hillary and Logan looked like movie stars. What a great time. Here is the movie (watch it in HD)!

The Vail Aspens…

…each October, they are pretty much unreal. The first weekend of this month I had a shoot in Vail and could not resist hiking up the slopes with my trusty Nikon F5 film camera and shooting a few rolls of these stunning creatures shedding their skins. If you ever get the chance to go there that time of year, take it.

Karli and Zack set the Kiana Lodge on Fire

I don’t shoot many weddings, and if I do it’s more often than not that I’m asked to do video. That’s what I did with dear friend Karli Johnson and her fiance, Zack Zarcone this past weekend in Seattle. But along the way I snapped a few stills using a D3 and 16mm f2.8 lens that Nikon send me to try out. Way to go Karli and Zack–you two pulled of the most glamorous rehearsal dinner and wedding that I think I have ever been involved in (with the exception of my own). Love to you both!
